Secretary Adele Wills
Having taught English Literature for many years at post-16 level, Adele retired in 2016 and is relishing the opportunity to pursue her second love: Music.
She enjoys music from a range of periods and styles, but especially composers from the early and Baroque periods such as Henry Purcell, John Dowland, JS Bach, GF Handel and GP Telemann. She also loves the music of Philip Glass. She has used her retirement to develop her skills in piano performance, achieving Grade 8 Distinction and completing a Piano Teachers' Diploma. She is a member of the Wells Cathedral Piano Group and the Orchard Piano Group, and is slowly conquering her performance nerves.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, particularly historical fiction, film, theatre, walking and art. She even likes the administrative work that being Secretary entails. If she were stranded on a desert island with the complete works of JS Bach and Tolstoy's 'War and Peace', she would in all likelihood be very happy.
