Ron is a Scot, born and brought up in Edinburgh but proud of his Italian heritage on his mother's side.

After a degree in mathematics he taught secondary school for a while before moving into IT and working as a software engineer for a large international business services company. He retired in 2022. His musical skills include piano (grade 6), folk guitar and tin whistle. He sings in the small choir Sing For Change in Coventry, where he lives.

Music Choices - Unashamedly late Romantic and early 20th century: Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Sibelius, Elgar, Nielsen... Great pianists of past and present. Scots, Irish and English folk song. And JS Bach: he is slowly working his way through the 222-CD Complete Bach Edition of 2018.
