Celebrating its 70th anniversary this season the Great Yarmouth Recorded Music Circle had its inaugural meeting on the 18th November 1946. The meeting was opened by Mr K Cutler who outlined the aim of the proposed Circle. Mr F Hawkins was elected Chairman and requested the Circle be formed. The name Great Yarmouth Recorded Music Circle was proposed by Mr P Newstead and adopted. Mr R Packard was Hon.Secretary and Mr E Goate was Hon. Treasurer. The Committee were Miss D Pearce, Mr K Cutler, Mr J Bonny & Mr R Edwards. Subscriptions were 3/6. |
