The late Mark Ricaldone had almost single-handedly kept alive the art of Beniamino Gigli. His entire archive is now available for any student of the great tenor for a small fee to be given to charity. The collection contains biographies about Gigli, some in Italian, opera house chronologies, a collection of programmes, reviews and ephemera, as well as a complete record collection on CD, LP and 78 rpm. This includes many live performances and rare recordings. His films are also part of this collection both on DVD and video, all of which amounts to a fine archive for those who are interested in one of the greatest of Italian tenors.
